About:

Navigating the complex maze of divorce and custody is challenging enough. Going through it with a special needs child, who is especially vulnerable to family conflict, changes in their environment, or modifications to the family routine, requires a different level of support and understanding. Similarly, exiting an abusive relationship requires counsel who understands the dynamics and works to insulate you and your children from further victimization. As a parent with first-hand experience, I've dedicated my law practice to helping families in these situations. No one wants to go through a divorce and disrupt their family's well-being. The goal is to get through these life transitions as efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as possible. My clients say they chose me because of my ability to view each family situation as unique and communicate appropriately, understanding the nuances while shepherding them through the complex legal maze. I enjoy working with people and figuring out ways the law can help them to achieve a positive resolution for the entire family. With a strong project management background, I can move through large quantities of information quickly and efficiently, saving my clients time and money. With a decade of consulting experience, I focus on listening to my client's concerns while ensuring we stay focused on the task. SKILLS: ? Family Law Mediation ? Planning for Special Needs Children ? Domestic Law ? Client-focused ? Strong in research and analysis Experience Highlights • Published author, public speaker, expert trainer/facilitator experienced in leading executive boards and large groups • Small business owner assisting nonprofits and foundations with infrastructure, project management, and fundraising. • Volunteer/advocate for twice-exceptional learners and children with mental health challenges

"I was lucky enough to find Radix Law and blessed to be able to have Carolyn Tatkin as the lawyer in a garnishment case. Carolyn Tatkin was extremely knowledgeable in all areas and was able to answer any and all questions I had. She was so empathetic to my situation and I find it hard to put into words how grateful I am to have found her. You are an extreme blessing to our life Carolyn and I wish you nothing but the best! Thank you so much again for everything you did and how you handled the case personally. Words can not express how thankful we are for you. Also, many thanks to Kimberly for all of her support throughout the entire process and many thanks to Ashley as well for all of her assistance with everything regarding this case. Thank you all and happy holidays and have a great New Year!! Warm Wishes, Jim"

"Will Breier at Radix Law helped my husband and I in a construction defect arbitration. We found him very responsive, very attentive to details, quick to piece together the salient facts of the case, wise in his recommendations and overall a huge help in getting our issues rectified. His pricing was fair for the amount of work he had to do, including, for lack of a better term, "nagging" the opposition on a regular basis to keep progress moving forward. Will came as a recommendation when our former counsel was taking too long to communicate with us (we ultimately ended that relationship for the lack of communication, among other reasons). In contrast, Will provided almost constant communication and was very timely. He would respond not just that same day, but many times within 10 minutes we would be talking. Also, I didn't have to waste anyone's time re-explaining the facts of the case. I would explain it once and he would retain the information. Maybe that's a "bare minimum" expectation for a lawyer, but in other experiences I had to re-explain ad nauseum; let's just say I appreciate Will's recall capabilities. It's always a risk to hire someone new in the middle of a legal action, but I am glad we took the risk. It turned out to be worth it. We feel Will had our best intentions in mind, he cared about the outcome of our case, listened to our concerns, checked in after things had been settled, and continues to follow up. I was even able to recommend him to a neighbor who recently had an issue with a contractor. In short, Will is capable, smart, responsive, and diligent. He has the high level of integrity and acumen you want in legal representation."

"Colleen Contreras is the best family law attorney. From our first meeting, she explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings. She is very compassionate when it comes to her work.
