About:
Chris was born in Hawaii to a military family but was raised in Spartanburg, SC. He attended Spartanburg High School before double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of South Carolina and graduated from USC School of Law in 2015. While in law school, Chris spent his summers working as a law clerk conducting legal research to advocate for policy change for low-income South Carolinians. He provided legal assistance to low-income and underfunded communities through the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps JD program, received awards in scholastic achievement and Dean’s List recognition, and served as the Treasurer for the Public Interest Law Society, all of which he deems to be some of his greatest accomplishments. After graduating from law school, Chris ran to represent Greenville and Spartanburg Counties in the U.S. House of Representatives, centering his campaign around criminal justice reform. Following his campaign, Chris decided that he would be able to effect more immediate change and create a more direct impact as a lawyer rather than a politician. He began to search for such a way to do this, eventually landing upon working in the Office of the Public Defender in Greenwood, SC, and later the Office of the Public Defender in Greenville. Chris has now been a member of the South Carolina Bar Association in Good Standing since 2015, and is now admitted to practice law in both South Carolina as well as Federal courts. Chris became a founder and partner at FR Law LLC in 2022, where he focuses on criminal law to help defend people in Greenville County and throughout upstate South Carolina. As a private attorney, Chris brings his experience as a public defender to bear to protect the individual rights and freedoms of his clients. He looks at how each case pertains to the larger criminal justice system without losing sight of the individual impact. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing soccer, eating good food, and being outdoors.

"Chris Fedalei was very professional and easy to work with. He knew I was nervous and he made sure to help me relax. He came fully prepared for the case and answered all of my (many) questions. He was also easy to reach and made himself available when I needed guidance! Thanks Chris :)"
