About:

Practice Area Breakdown: 80% Family Law - separation, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution 20% Estate Planning - wills, living wills, trusts, power of attorneys I am a native of Charlotte and graduated from Myers Park High School. After college and law school, I moved back to Charlotte and served as a police officer, and as an officer in the N.C. Army National Guard. I focus my law practice primarily on family law and estate planning. I live in Huntersville with my wife and our four children. We both have children from previous relationships, and one child together. I thoroughly understand the difficulties that come with divorce, dividing your assets and debts, and child custody, having to blend two child custody schedules myself. Understanding custody from both a legal and practical perspective, I try to help my clients develop arrangements that truly support their children’s best interests, and that work for the long term. I am passionate about helping parents develop schedules that minimize conflict, and support their children’s growth and development. My practice philosophy avoids or minimizes litigation to the extent we are able to come to a reasonable agreement. If we are not, or if we are dealing with the unreasonable, we have no choice but to fight for what is best for your children. Education: - Appalachian State University – Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice - Oklahoma City University School of Law – Juris Doctor - Boston University – Master of Criminal Justice - University of St. Andrews – Graduate certificate in Terrorism Studies Additional professional experience: - Police officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (6.5 years) - United States Army veteran – Engineer officer with the North Carolina Army National Guard (8.5 years). "5 star for Regina Williams and the team at Adkins Law. Attorney Regina Williams assisted me with a legal issue caused by a previous attorney of mine. Regina was able to do what my prior attorney couldn’t. Plus she was able to get it done in a very short period of time. Word of advice to you all. If you want an attorney that takes you and your case serious, I would highly recommend that you call Regina or someone on her staff. To Regina and her staff thank you."

"I had my consultation today and paid $250, but unfortunately, I feel like it was a waste of time and money. I was asked to submit any relevant documents at least an hour before my call so the attorney could review them. However, it was clear she hadn’t looked over anything, as I had to start from the beginning and answer questions unrelated to my concerns. I don’t believe she even read the intake form or the initial request from the website. I subscribe to ChatGPT monthly and gained more insight just from asking general questions. I had high hopes for this company since it came highly recommended by a friend, but I wouldn’t recommend them and won’t be returning. After reading other reviews, I see that others have had similar experiences, which is disappointing, to say the least."

"I switched to Adkins Law during my child custody case because I felt my previous attorney was not acting in my best interest. It was the best decision I could have made. Regina got the process started immediately and kept me informed about everything taking place with the case. The entire office was always very responsive whenever I reached out throughout the process, which was incredibly important to me. Thank you so much for the support and for achieving the best outcome, Regina!"
