About:
Christa Groshek has excellent experience litigating cases to both judges and juries. She has an exceptional trial record, even getting some cases dismissed on constitutional grounds before trial. She has developed a solid reputation as a Minnesota trial attorney for successfully defending clients against a wide range of charges in criminal court. Christa Groshek graduated Cum Laude from William Mitchell College of Law. During law school, Christa was a law clerk for the Washington County Public Defender's Office where she received her first criminal defense experience. Christa later took a position as the law clerk for the Honorable Thomas Armstrong, Washington County District Court Judge in Stillwater. There, she worked in civil law, doing legal research and drafting orders. Christa took her first attorney position at the Legal Rights Center in Minneapolis. There she practiced criminal defense in Juvenile Court. After approximately one year, Christa joined the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office in downtown Minneapolis. Continuing in Juvenile Court she worked on Delinquencies and represented families in Child Protection cases. After a total of 3 years experience in Juvenile Court, Christa transferred to the Adult Felony Trial Team. On the Trial Team, Christa handled many cases ranging from DWIs to Murder. In Christa's first year on the Trial Team, she handled more trials in one year than some private defense attorneys have in ten years. Christa also represents professionals who have maltreatment determinations, or who have complaints at The Board of Nursing, The Board of Psychology, The Board of Social Work and The Board of Minnesota Family and Marriage Therapists. Significantly, 80% of those trials resulted in NOT GUILTY jury verdicts. Since that time, Ms. Groshek has litigated many cases with outstanding results. After 4 years with the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office, Christa Groshek has been in private practice since the fall of 2005.

"My experience with Groshek Law Firm was extremely disappointing. I hired this firm expecting professional, experienced legal support for a specific issue, but instead, I received disorganized system that not only wasted time but also exacerbated the situation. The attorney I was assigned to was Chelsey Fischbach, who unfortunately, appeared to lack the necessary experience and maturity to handle my case. Her actions seemed to make matters worse at every turn. When it became clear that the situation was made worse, I reached out to the owner and managing attorney, Christa Groshek, in hopes of resolving the issue. Regrettably, I was met with the disappointing response that she stood by her staff’s actions, regardless of the circumstances. Ultimately, I felt compelled to terminate their representation and take matters into my own hands to resolve the issue. Based on this experience, I will not recommend Groshek Law Firm and strongly suggest seeking counsel elsewhere."

"Chelsey Fischbach I can’t thank Chelsey Fischbach enough for her outstanding legal support during one of the most emotionally intense and time-sensitive situations of my life. As a veteran navigating a complex family matter, I was overwhelmed and under pressure. Chelsey stepped in at the last minute, quickly understood the entire case, and developed a clear, strategic plan that brought calm to chaos. What impressed me most was how she handled everything with precision and compassion — especially given how sensitive and personal this situation was. I asked for a result that was just a little better than what the other party wanted. Chelsey not only delivered that, but went far beyond expectations. She brought the case from a negative place all the way to being trial-ready — and got results I didn’t think were possible. Chelsey didn’t just represent me legally — she stood up for me in a way that made me feel heard, supported, and protected. Her work ethic, legal skill, and steady presence made all the difference. I’m deeply grateful and would highly recommend her to any family facing complex legal challenges, especially military families or veterans who need someone who truly gets it."

"I truly hope no one gets married & thinks to themselves "divorce will the ultimate ending to this union", but alas, it happens more frequently than not. Yes, there were some tenuous moments in the process, more provoked by my ex & the mentality of the professional climate of "The grass is greener in the other practice's court yard" but given the circumstances & outcome, I am very pleased with the process. Patience & realistic expectations are key along with knowing this will not be cheap"

"We hired Groshek Law as our attorney when we were getting married and needed a prenuptial drawn up. First, they lost our payment and never contacted us to move forward with the prenup, so after a month we reached out and said “are you writing us a prenup or what?”. Our wedding was only 2 months away. Second, they had grammatical and spelling errors in the prenup, including my soon-to-be-stepson’s last name, and when contacted about this didn’t actually respond, ultimately did correct it, but with zero communication. Third, they cancelled an appointment to meet and sign our paperwork the day of, a couple hours before the meeting. We were forced to find a couple friends to sign as witnesses and rush to a UPS store to get the paperwork signed before our wedding. Hilariously, they sent us a form to fill out after we sent them our complaints and are offering us, and I’m going to use all caps for emphasis here, THIRTY WHOLE DOLLARS as compensation. Ultimately, we felt wildly and comically ignored by this law firm. I am so happy to be leaving this review and I look forward to the day someone asks me for advice on hiring an attorney as I will relish the chance to tell them NOT to hire Groshek Law. Edit: You have no records of Jeanette Noble because my name is Noble Jennette, clearly written at the top of this review, and you have no record of Noble Jennette because my wife hired you to write our prenup."

"This is the best law firm in town. I am still working with them, and I already know how dedicated they are. Chelsea specifically is a great human being and a passionate advocate for our family. She does her job and communicates timely, consistently and clearly. She is detailed oriented, very vest and articulate with the law."
