"This is a long overdue rating. I came across a letter that she sent me when I had her as my lawyer for a CPS case which prompted this. The cps worker lied on me and Carolyn told me she didn’t care, it didn’t matter. It was too late that my kids were being taken. They discussed this behind chambers so I had no say. I was powerless. She didn’t fight for me at all. The letter she sent me was about me getting out of a lease to move to a safer area for my kids, and the manager at the complex lied to Carolyn and in return she accused me of misusing her services. She lacks empathy. She lacks interest in her clients. She lacks communication with her clients. She doesn’t care! I did fight and I did get my kids back, but it would’ve helped if my lawyer helped and believed in me and prevented my kids being taken from me under false pretenses in the first place! I guess being used as a public defender or pro bono..she could care less. If u ever get assigned her, ask for a new one! Wish I knew to do the same at the time."

"DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. She's got that "I'm retiring soon anyway" - half a$$ effort mentality. Expect to be charged for their inefficiencies. " Hey, your case was on my mind this morning, so you'll be getting an invoice for that too". The staff knows NO more about the LAW than would a pile of table scraps. "Oh, now that we're 2 days away from trial, you need to pay us more money or we'll walk away from your case..". YES, THAT HAPPENED.."
