Anthony Bruno has devoted his practice exclusively to defending individuals in Illinois and federal criminal courts since 2010. For years, he served as a federal panel attorney under the federal Criminal Justice Act. His professional service extends beyond the courtroom. Anthony has represented Illinois in the American Bar Association, and he remains actively involved with the Illinois State Bar Association. He sits on the ISBA’s governing assembly and serves on the Criminal Justice Section Council, where he reviews and refines proposed criminal legislation. Outside of his legal work, Anthony enjoys traveling with his family and doing construction and renovation work. He is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician and a big fan of spicy food. In 2025, he was elected president of the Champaign Unit 4 Board of Education. Anthony, his wife Cynthia, their three children, and their Labrador retriever live near downtown Champaign, Illinois.
