"I had a problem where a disgruntled ex-girlfriend got mad when I got a restraining order against her and she filed for a counter restraining order as well as bogus assault charges against me months after the fact. I searched for someone in Fairfax County, VA that had experience dealing with personal protective orders and assault charges in the county. Ann Thayer came extremely highly recommended. Ann Thayer's extreme competence and superlative professional network made a painful situation as painless as possible. When the courthouse was closed due to technical difficulties, attorney Thayer knew how to get it moved to the Historic Courthouse so things wouldn't get delayed. Ann was able to work with the prosecutor to get the case dismissed in a timely manner. As a result of choosing Ann Thayer to represent me, all of this legal pain is now behind me. All charges and protective orders have been dropped and I can move on with my life. I hope I won't need an attorney ever again for a situation like this, but god forbid I do I would definitely choose her again."

"Ann is the best Attorney I have had the privilege to ever talk to. I was charged with reckless driving, not for speed but an illegal right on a highway (Route 50?) and wanted representation. I called a few lawyers around fairfax general court and Ann was one of the first ones to call back. She was patient, listened to all the details and to my utter disbelief said - I am happy to represent you but you can do this yourself. She gave me a game plan, but due to some constraints, I was unable to follow through. During my day in court I learnt from the officer that he misunderstood me during the stop but I did not have the evidence to back my side of the story. My fine was reduced but misdemeanor charge still stayed. I spoke with Ann and she asked me to appeal my case and gave me a new plan. She again encouraged me to do it myself since we know all the facts now and ask for continuance if the prosecutor does not reduce my sentence and she can represent me. She is very knowledgeable about the law and very familiar with the court system, she even gave me the email address of the prosecutor for me to email my documents in advance. I was very nervous because of immigration ramifications but she reassured me about that as well. On my day I was able to talk to the prosecutor and the officer ahead of time and showed all the evidence and steps I took to remedy my behavior. The officer agreed it was a misunderstanding and I was able to successfully plead it down to improper driving avoiding a misdemeanor. None of the other lawyers I spoke with were as knowledgeable or encouraging or empathetic as Ann and all this without even representing me. Needless to say she will be the first Attorney to call if I ever need one again."

"Had to go to court for the first time and was really nervous, and Ann Thayer made everything much easier to understand and helped me feel more comfortable going through this experience. She was easy to talk to and understand while also clearly knowing exactly what she was doing, and she was adamant in doing whatever she could to help me. Very professional. I ended up not having to pay any fines in the end."

"Ann is very thorough having step by step guides to ensure the best solution for her clients. I came in with a reckless misdemeanor ticket and was between a cheaper attorney option and Ann. I felt she was more responsive and informative giving me a sense of comfort. She had a well thought out plan for my situation and was able to show results immediately on my court date bring it down to a traffic ticket and a small fine fee."

"I was charged with a DWI and A. Thayer was able to get it reduced to a reckless driving after following her legal advice. She was very nice, kept me up to date, and answered all questions I had. I could not be more grateful!"
