About:

The Criminal Justice System is often referred to as "Adversarial." This is because regardless of the charges you are facing, you and the government will do battle over one critical item of evidence: Your "Presumption of Innocence." The United States Supreme Court has said that the Presumption of Innocence is "evidence" in favor of the accused, and the government wants to keep that evidence from the Jury. To have a fighting chance, you need someone who knows your adversary. With nearly 20 years of experience as a lawyer, and as a former supervising deputy district attorney, I know your adversary. This gives me a unique insight into the mindset of the prosecutor handling your case. I know the tactics, how they're trained, what's important to them, and where they are weak. And, depending on the jurisdiction, there is a real possibility that I trained the deputy district attorney who is handling the case. Throughout my career I have maintained a reputation among my peers as a trusted member of the legal community. This was true of me as a prosecuto, and remains true since opening the doors of the Law Office of A. Todd Kuhnen. I concentrate on providing criminal defense services in the Sacramento area including, Sacramento, Placer, Nevada, Sutter, Yuba, Yolo, and El Dorado counties. View More ›
