About:

I am originally from the Western and Central regions of Oklahoma. I was born and had lived in Oklahoma all my life. But, after visiting the beautiful state of Washington in the Fall of 2013, I decided to make the Pacific Northwest my new home. I packed up my family and our belongings and moved to Tacoma in 2015. As I begin my practice in Washington, I will rely on nearly a decade of experience handling family related legal issues. I hope to bring something positive to this community that I am so happy to call home.

"David Mayo is very capable, dependable, and hard working. He truly fights for his clients. And he cares a great deal about his clients and their cases."

"I'm just trying to find out if my divorce is final, I've called twice (months in-between calls), yet no one there can be bothered to return my call to let me know."

"Do not trust them with your life and hard earned money! This place is full of Lazy incompetent attorneys. I retained Doug Drowley in sept 2023. My ex wife is using meth and I proved it with pictures of needles full of meth in her purse along with other paraphernalia and texts from her phone about meth. I also provided video and still shots of her attacking me. She went to jail and Doug filed for a restraining order. He was able to win this easy order as anyone could have. Doug then left the firm. David mayo took over and didn’t go to the next court date two weeks later to finalize the order. I tried exercising the restraining order in February 2024 to find out it expired because my lawyer didn’t finish the job. So we filed a new one. $7000, four continuance’s later armed with definitive proof of her impersonating a supervised visit specialist and proving all kinds of lies she still wine unsupervised visits. She provided “clean u.a’s” and even a hair follicle sample to the court. I told David since day one that it was fake and asked him to call the place where she took it at and confirm my suspicions, of course he did nothing. After she won unsupervised visits I did it myself hours after court. It took me a one minute phone call and one text message to (u.a’s r us in Puyallup) to confirm that the papers were totally fake. They wanted me to pay them again to go back to court to fix there foul up so I fired them. In my trade as an electrician if we screw up on a clients home we don’t charge them to fix are mistake. Over $15000 dollars later and 0 results on a easy black and white case I was forced to fire them. Your going through a lot in your case I’m sure it’s hard enough do not trust these people!!!!"

"They did the bare minimum for our case. They avoided filing blatant contempt against the opposing party. Amber Bighorse and her employees did not fight for us. When we finally decided to get a different attorney, her Paralegal claimed that they couldn't share our file through DropBox because it was too large. Two weeks later, it somehow magically worked. Finally. Lots of excuses, unanswered emails, contempt filings not being filed. I strongly advise you to find a better firm to handle your case."
