"I retained AllynMarie Smedley to handle my QDRO and I am so grateful to Ali who went above and beyond on my behalf. Ali & her team were always professional and always made me feel like a valued client. Ali & Kathi ALWAYS provided prompt email responses. I appreciate Ali's genuine concern for me as I did have times of doubt with my ex husband and the QDRO. Ali was on it the second I told her my concerns and she and Kathi saw it through to the end. If anyone is looking for an attorney for a QDRO I highly recommend Ali for her professionalism, kindness & exceptional service."

"Navigating a divorce is never easy, but having AllyMarie Smedley by my side made a world of difference. From the start, Ally proved herself to be a caring, highly skilled attorney who fought zealously on my behalf throughout a difficult and emotionally charged process. My case involved an extremely combative opposing counsel and client—individuals who seemed more focused on fueling conflict than working toward resolution. Despite this, Ally remained composed, strategic, and unwavering in her commitment to protecting my interests and those of my children. Her ability to manage such hostility with professionalism and strength was remarkable. What stood out most was Ally’s genuine compassion. She took the time to explain every option and legal path available to me, ensuring I felt informed and empowered at each step. Even though the final outcome wasn’t everything we had hoped for, I place that blame on the inefficiencies and limitations of the New Jersey Family Court system—not on Ally’s skill as a litigator. If anything, her knowledge of the process, laws, and advocacy were some of the strongest aspects of the entire process. Perhaps most importantly, Ally continued to show care and concern for my and my children’s well-being even after the case had concluded. That level of humanity is rare and something I’ll always be grateful for. If you're looking for someone who is not only a fierce advocate but also a genuinely good person, AllyMarie Smedley is the attorney you want in your corner."

"Used their services to change the last name of a minor child. To start they required $2,500 for retainer. They pull money from the retainer & you have to replenish it once it gets to a certain amount. Typically this is done with a credit card. Signed the contract with them August 2023 & court was November 2023 (this was the only time I actually saw the attorney). Got all of the finalized paperwork in Feb 2024. Copies have to be sent to several agencies. Other party did not show up to contest. Total cost was about $6,000."

"A colleague referred me to Alison Weinroth of Smedley Law Group and I confidently retained her following a consultation. The following 9 months were a living nightmare and I truly cannot put into words my disappointment, distrust and frustration with both Alison and the firm. As soon as opposing council was identified and Alison mentioned she had a professional relationship with him, I should have retained another firm - I spent nearly $15,000 with limited response from opposing council (who was allowed to dictate the timeline and remainder of litigation despite me being the plaintiff.) When I questioned delays and the amount being spent, I was reassigned to another member of the firm with a lesser bill rate (who had to consult with Alison on everything and I ended up paying the same amount, if not more.) I received very little communication when the other member stopped responding and had to email or call multiple times despite being constantly billed for receipt/review. Alison’s subsequent “negotiation” included little more than recommending a monetary amount for settlement. If your expectation is to be guided through one of the scariest, most devastating times of your life and advocated for (as you should when spending nearly $20,000), retain any other firm but this one."
