About:

Allison Mahoney is the Founder and Managing Attorney at ALM Law, a civil rights and victims' right law firm. She has over a decade’s worth of experience litigating on behalf of survivors of civil rights violations, intimate partner violence (IPV), child abuse and neglect, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. Allison began her legal career at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she was a member of the firm’s pro bono committee and represented survivors of sexual abuse and IPV. She was later a prosecutor in New York City and investigated sex crimes, public corruption, and human trafficking rings. For the next several years, Allison worked at Lawyers for Children, Inc. and represented children in foster care in New York City family court proceedings. As LFC’s Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Project Attorney, she carried a specialized caseload and served as the in-house legal expert for cases involving those sensitive issues. Allison was most recently the Interim Deputy Director at A Better Childhood, where she investigated child welfare systems across the country, formed partnerships with local organizations and national law firms, and filed class action lawsuits on behalf of foster children, alleging violations of their civil and federal statutory rights. Allison is admitted to practice law in Colorado; New York; Washington, D.C.; the Eastern District of New York; the Southern District of New York; and before the Supreme Court of the United States.

"Lauren provided fast and effective counsel to me when other attorneys told me they could be of no assistance until further into the case (when clearly there were false claims being made against me). She got the case dropped and dismissed before it even started and then returned money from the retainer since she got it done so quickly. She was answered all of my calls/emails promptly, and put together all the necessary documentation so I could resume my life. I’m very grateful for her time and consideration and highly recommend her services, especially if you have been given the run around by other firms that seem to want to drag things out at your expense. Thank you Lauren and team!"

"Lauren Maytin is the Real Deal. Handled my speeding ticket in a matter of weeks. Never stepped foot in a courtroom. Didn’t know her until I found her online and called her. I could tell right away she was the right person to be handling my case. Will be recommending my friends and family forever! Thanks again Lauren!"

"Like a majority of legal "situations" my predicament was complicated, at least it was to me. By stroke of luck, I found Lauren in the Yellowpages, the actual book! And, she called me back. She always called me back! I never hesitated to call her, even with the most seemingly trivial question or request. She was “My Rock” during an absolutely awful time in life where I NEEDED a brilliant, down to Earth, well versed lawyer, and an honest, compassionate friend. That's Lauren!... Lauren is amazing....Thank God for that Woman! Everything you hear good about her is true! Total Expert and Professional..."

"Lauren is so helpful and can be trusted to be well up to date on relevant changes in the verbiage and climate of the law specifics. She really over delivered in several of our consultations and I trust her to be there for her clients when they need it most. Extremely fair pricing as well."
